Scientific and informative material

The Cabo Ortegal Geopark has been object of multiple studies since the 19th century, with the presence of the map of the Cabo Ortegal Complex in the book «Geognostic Description of the Kingdom of Galicia» by Guillermo Schulz, in 1834, representing one of the first maps published in Spain . Until today, we can say that this geological complex was, and continues to be, one of the most studied in the entire Iberian Peninsula, with a multitude of doctoral theses, hundreds of scientific publications and numerous study visits each year. Here we compile some of the main publications made so far about the incredible Cabo Ortegal Allochthonous Complex.
